LUX begins with the image - linocut artwork hand-cut by artist Linnea Gits, each card carrying the physical trace of its making. This bundle pairs the deck with its companion guidebook: 180 pages of original sonnets, one written for every card, offering a poetic rather than prescriptive entry into the Marseille tradition.
The combination is deliberate. Where the cards work through image and texture, the sonnets work through language - two distinct interpretive registers for the same archetypes. Neither explains the other. Both deepen it.
